Honeywell has launched an advanced generation of handheld computers aimed at enhancing workforce productivity and streamlining workflows in demanding environments such as warehouses and retail operations.

Honeywell Launches New Generation of AI-Capable Devices

The recently introduced devices by Honeywell are part of continued efforts to integrate AI into its product portfolio to boost operational efficiencies such that—CT37, CK67, and CK62—are designed to support advanced artificial intelligence (AI) applications, allowing workers to execute tasks more efficiently. These mobile computers align with Honeywell’s focus on automation and its broader AI strategy, including the company’s plans to develop an AI-powered Multi-Modal Intelligent Agent.

David Barker, President, Honeywell Productivity Solutions and Services, highlighted the impact of these ideal devices, stating, “Honeywell’s mobile computers power the industries that keep our world running, serving as force multipliers to make the global supply chain, healthcare and air travel more productive.” He emphasized that AI could help employees “work smarter, company assets work harder, and processes run more efficiently.”

The CT37, CK67, and CK62 models are equipped with 5G and Wi-Fi 6E technology, enabling reliable and fast data access. They are also compatible with Android 14-18, ensuring workers can carry out tasks with greater accuracy and speed. These features make the devices particularly useful for businesses in fast-paced environments like warehouses, distribution centers, retail stores, and healthcare facilities, where efficiency and quick data processing are essential to smooth operations.

The CT37 is designed for use in retail and healthcare environments, where durability and advanced scanning capabilities are critical. It functions as an all-purpose productivity tool that streamlines activities such as mobile point of sale, price verification, patient identification, and secure communications.

The CK67 model is tailored for warehouses and distribution centers. It is built to withstand tough conditions, including drops from up to eight feet. Additionally, its ergonomic design ensures ease of use while allowing workers to scan items from varying distances, ranging from three inches to 80 feet.

Similarly, the CK62 is designed for warehouse efficiency, offering a lightweight build and an enhanced keypad for single-handed data entry. It also integrates enterprise-grade software, facilitating asset visibility and optimization within high-demand environments.

Beside these launches, the company is also working on the development of its ‘Multi-Modal Intelligent Agent’, an AI-powered digital resource aimed at improving worker efficiency. This solution, expected in 2025, will provide answers to user queries through various formats such as images, videos, spoken responses, or text. As Barker noted, this tool will enable workers to tap into critical information faster, improving accuracy and reducing time spent on routine tasks.
